Lots of action at Pompano Beach and Hillsboro Beach, Florida. Kitesurfers, a sailor, paddle boarder, boats and lighthouse are shown in this photograph at the Hillsboro Inlet. This is actually a quiet day for this location.
Almost every day gets busy before dawn, with boats large and small streaming out for hours of fishing. Many days there will be sailboats. During certain months there are sailing races just north of the lighthouse. On good-weather days, which is most days, pleasure boaters will have a little cruise just north or just south of the inlet. No one really wants to come in, on the best days, and people will relent and go back home as the sun is setting and the orange and pink colors of the western sky are reflected on the eastern horizon. The Hillsboro Beach area is beloved by boaters, swimmers, and kiteboarders. It's a beautiful part of Florida.
